Health Resource for Nigerians in the Diaspora

Health4Naija blog is a resource for health content for multicultural audiences as well as Nigerians in the diaspora. It is also a site for anyone interested in learning about health and other related topics.

Healthy Heart Philadelphia

Healthy Heart Philadelphia is a program conceptualized by Dr. Ngozi Onuoha for the Well City Challenge 2.0 as a tool to combat the leading cause of death in adults in Philadelphia: Heart Disease.

Cardiovascular disease claims one life in the United States every 33 seconds. Every year, this illness costs the nation hundreds of billions of dollars in lost lives, medical expenses, and health care.

About me

My name is Ngozi Onuoha. I’m a primary care physician, and double-board certified in Internal medicine and Geriatrics. I have given talks on various health topics, and I also provide health consultancy and health strategy.

How Health4Naija started.

I decided to create Health4Naija to provide health education content to help Nigerians and other people in the Diaspora familiarize themselves with the American health system, and also to navigate care for their relatives and friends in Nigeria and in other resource-limited settings.

In summary, Health4Naija was started to provide health education and share knowledge, so that illnesses and diseases can be prevented or tackled by awareness, and health outcomes improved.
